Brad Foskett
I’m a local entertainer and small business owner. I started out in the early 90’s DJ-ing at parties and pubs around Bristol and the South West moving into doing karaoke shows. I then took a big jump to solely entertain people in local bars. The first lockdown hit everyone hard and to help out with keeping peoples mental well-being I started live feed vlogs and singing once a week via Facebook. This led me striking up a friendship with Alan Straughton who asked me to help out one night on his radio show, which became a regular slot three times a week, plus a Country hour show which I also hosted on Wednesdays. I took a back seat but remained in the background in November 2023 Alan & myself joined forces to fully control Enjoy Radio after the station hit a black spot. We've built the station back up and are going from strength to strength with more and more national and international presenters, we have a great team and a great station.

Erika Baker
Hi, I’m Erika and I am a tarot reader. Originally from Orpington in Kent, I am now enjoying living in Bolton.
I have always loved music and was brought up listening to a broad selection of genres which I am to incorporate into my playlists. I used to play drums back in the day! Music is such an important part of our everyday lives; it can bring back long forgotten memories and emotions, can uplift you, can bring you down, and everything in between.
So, how does Tarot fit with all this? Well, part of my show on Sundays is giving live readings to people on air. I try and help people to look at their options, explore the issues around a question or a problem, or look at what could happen next, if all is going to plan. Tarot can add a perspective to a dilemma that you may not have considered before. I am a believer that context is key, especially for the more specific issues and bigger questions that dominate our day-to-day lives. There is also the positive aspect; sometimes we all need a reminder that the bad times are not forever, and this too shall pass!
I don’t believe in witchcraft or magic, and I don’t believe that everything is already mapped out. I cannot predict the future, and if anyone says that they can, I would be sceptical. I do believe in people. I believe people create their own magic in their everyday lives, and music is very much a part of that everyday magic.

Shaun Kelly
I’m Shaun Kelly, an avid music collector, and gig-goer since the 60's. My first gig was 'Rory Storm and The Hurricanes' (incl. a pre-Beatles Ringo!) and most recently, Jeff Beck, a few weeks before his untimely death last year.
Essentially I've always been fairly private but during Lockdown felt the need to really challenge myself somehow. An opportunity arose when a new community radio station was being set up here in West Cumbria and my wife suggested I try for a presenter slot. I'm so glad I did.
Although it was one of the scariest things I've ever done. (I'm no natural performer!) I loved every minute and it was such a buzz to share my musical passions and hopefully reintroduce people not only to familiar material but also great music that is less well known and occasionally, 'challenging'.
Thanks to Enjoy Radio, I now have another chance (after a 2 year break) to hit the airwaves again. So I will be presenting a weekly show "Strange Brew" every Wednesday evening.
The music I play will be diverse, with many 'Classics and Curveballs' coming from my own musical collections, and true to the show's title will be a multi-genre mix of Electronica, Dance, Rock, Blues, World, Ambient, Trance, Indie, Jazz, Fusion, Americana, Neo-classical, and just about anything else I believe is worth a listen.
Finally, when reading the other presenter bios, I see I'm in esteemed company with a shed load of experienced DJs, so hopefully I can do you and all the listeners proud.
Anyway enough about me ....it's all about the Music.
Ian Parker
It all started in Whitehaven in 1969 where I have lived most of my life, except for a brief 8 years in Preston after meeting my husband Nav. I had vowed never to come back to Whitehaven, but life, as ever threw a curved ball. After a chance conversation with an old friend our lives changed forever when we returned to Whitehaven and bought The Mansion Guesthouse in 2015.
I came to Enjoy Radio after Al Straughton stayed with us in his capacity as a wedding photographer. He visited again with Jean, when they both did their Saturday evening shows from The Kinloch Bar. This is when Al invited me to be a presenter and didn’t stop asking until I said yes.
My taste in music is a broad church, anything from Barbara Streisand to Black Sabbath and everything in between which I hope shows though on the Sunday Session, though I do like to keep it laid back on Sundays. Have a listen and get in touch!

Jean Straughton
Hello there My name is Jean Straughton and I simply love presenting my shows here on Enjoy Radio.
I can’t say how this came to be, other than I was asked if I’d like to have a go at presenting my own show by my lovely Whacky “I’ll try anything once” Husband Alan Straughton. I really couldn’t come up with a reason not to.. as I don’t even have to leave the house.
I love having music in my life and there’s something special about listening to a track that evokes a memory, or lifts you up, or showcases an artist with a great talent.. and of course I get to just sit and get lost in the music for four hours every week.. now that’s what I call enjoyment.

John Hastings
Hello, I’m John Hastings, I’m 51 and live in Workington, Cumbria.
Before joining Enjoy Radio, I had worked on other community radio stations in Workington, Whitehaven, Carlisle and on Lakes College Radio.
Ever since I was a young boy, I have had a wide and varied taste in music, and over the past three years I have loved sharing my passion of music, as well as championing music by Quality Cumbrian Talent with the listeners of Enjoy Radio.
I was the losing finalist on Channel 4’s “Countdown” in 2000, and did 6 rounds against Anne Robinson on The Weakest Link in 2008.
I have auditioned for The X-Factor, The Voice & Britain's Got Talent, but sadly never got to meet the judges in any of the shows.
I am a keen Eurovision fan and I enjoy watching sport as well as writing my own poetry.

Mike Henry
I first started doing my DJ work at the age of sixteen. I hired some equipment for a friend’s wedding reception and that got me hooked. I went out and bought my own equipment and started doing mobile discos in pubs around the Manchester area. I was asked to DJ at all the usual birthday bashes and wedding receptions and the majority of them were to play rock music.
After being a weekend DJ at these venues I was offered a residency post at the Swinging Sporran Pub in the city centre two nights a week, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was also a relief DJ at The Phoenix and Jillys. On a couple of occasions, I was a warm up DJ for an outside broadcast show for a local radio station which was a great experience. This all happened back in the late eighties.
I did this for about three years but unfortunately, life and family got in the way and I sadly gave up my career until many years later when I heard about Enjoy Radio and here I am!

Yan Townsend
Music is in my blood. I was brought up with my mum and dad’s record collection and loved to listen to the radio. I have a very broad taste in music including Ska, Reggae, Rockabilly, Rock n Roll, Punk and Country. In the early 90’s I started DJing and then got in to my first band. In 1998 was my first Rock n Roll band and In 2011 I joined ‘Run Devil Run (UK)’ playing rock n roll, Rockabilly and country with my great mate Pat Winn (who I also wrote and played bass on his Western Star release ‘Shake The Tree’). We had the pleasure of playing in iconic venues mostly around London including the legendary 12 Bar Club, The 100 Club, The Dublin Castle, The Spice Of Life and The Fiddlers Elbow. Our greatest achievement was going to Nashville in 2015 to play a number of gigs and record with legendary singer songwriter Buzz Cason (Everlasting Love). Google him! While out in Nash, we even met Buzz’s good friend Billy Swan. An amazing experience. The band have also supported the incredible 70s/80s band ‘Darts’ at the 100 Club many times. What an honour! Our band also played gigs with Kasabian, Turin Brakes and Mark Lammar being in the audiences. I was also in a great band ‘Sammy-Jo and The Red Flames’ and wrote/co-wrote a handful of songs with them and did many gigs in the 5 years I was with them.
I have a few friends who have their own radio shows and keep introducing me to fantastic artists and music. I am really grateful to Alan (Straughton), Will (Warren) and the legendary Phil (Moggy) for my opportunities to play great music.
Let’s Rock…and roll!

Mike Chamberlain
I’m Mike and have been into music for as long as I can remember – my parents were both children of the Merseybeat era around Liverpool so a lot of rock ‘n’ roll from the obvious Beatles to Buddy Holly, from Shirley Bassey to Dusty Springfield and more was always on in the house.
I’ve played drums in original and cover bands for nearly 30 years. My own party band, The Midnight Cats, have been going successfully for over a decade and I stand-in for others such as ABBA and U2 tribute bands. Touring the UK and Europe, especially Ireland, drum teching expanded my musical experiences so a penchant for soulful, emotional and meaningful music will always be a preference for me.
After seeing Alan’s offer of come and have a go if you fancy it, I joined Alan and have thoroughly enjoyed this new adventure here at Enjoy Radio! With my background of playing cover songs I’ll be playing a lot of alternative and interesting covers on the show and maybe the originals if they were better!

Tony McVey
I grew up in the Halliwell area of Bolton with my brother, Stephen, and sister, Christine. I used to listen to mum and dad’s music - primarily Elvis and The Beatles but I developed a love for rock music through going to concerts with my older brother
My favourite band growing up was Bad Company and I still love them. We managed to watch lots of bands through the 70s mostly at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester: AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath and Scorpions being the ones cementing my love of 70s rock.
I started singing in a band when I was 13 and continued to play in bands through school, uni and into my 20s. I became a Christian when I was 19 and sang in many concerts with the church I attended.
I was a student at Lancaster University and got a 2:1 Physics/Chemistry degree. I went into teaching science and I did this for 33 years at St Joseph’s R.C. School in Horwich - Vernon Kay being one of my earlier students.
I have been married to Tracey since 1987 and we have two children, Jack and Eleanor, and we have just become grandparents to the gorgeous Maisie, who was born early 2023.
My hobbies are following lots of sport but especially non-league football; fell walking and challenges like the Coast to Coast; but my great love is cycling and I am working through Britain’s top 100 climbs.
I got involved with Enjoy Radio when I met Al Straughton in a local pub. He was sat with some of my ex-pupils from St Joseph’s. After chatting to him, and having turned 60 I decided to have a go starting March 2022. I love the varied musical tastes and I’m learning something new about music all the time. It is a lot of fun being able to play and share great music. Enjoy Radio is like a big family - we all support each other and want the best for each one.

Stuart Smith
Hi, I'm Stuart.
Firstly, I love music, I've been obsessed with music all of my life and I love everything from Elvis and all the Rock n roll, through Motown, Glam rock and Disco, 80s doesn't seem to have a flaw but my favourites are probably Wham and Bon Jovi. The 90s was my teenage years, so it is my favourite, I loved Brit pop and Boy bands. Early 00s was decent, and there's a few still around now that I enjoy.
I became a DJ in 1998 and have been entertaining crowds at locals, pubs in town centres, weddings, christenings, Christmas and nye party's as well as birthdays and special 80s nights. Seeing people singing along and dancing away gives me a massive high, and I love being the reason people are having a good time.
I got into radio with a local station up in Bolton where I met the legend that is Al Straughton who asked me to come to Enjoy Radio during lockdown, and I have loved it ever since. We have amazing presenters from all ages and walks of life, and it really is one big family.
You'll find me on Thursdays from 6 till 8 pm playing the best of the 60s to the 00s chosen by the listeners, so please have a listen and join in with the weekly theme 😀
You will, on occasion, find my son presents with me too ( like I said a big family) Who at time of writing is 11, but growing in confidence.

Lockdown brought a lot of sad times, but also brought a lot of us all closer together. Many moons ago when I was a lot younger I used to work with a man that did mobile disco's. So as you do when you are young, I popped along and was hooked straight away. So I jumped onto the bandwagon and got involved hands on, how all the gear worked etc etc
Did that for many years then got into the pub and club circuit. However after getting married the years slipped by I did not carry on with this hobby for many years. Then we had LOCKDOWN so I started doing sets online, instagram & facebook etc which rekindled my passion. I then got in touch with my old boss who runs a local community radio station. After a few beers I sweet talked him into a regular show.
Then came along another station - Where I now do a regular Thursday night show "That & 80's & 90's Show". So as you can guess things have taken off very well so I have put together "That 90's & 00's Show" now broadcasting on numerous radio stations around the world.

Mike Read
Mike Read has been a broadcaster since 1976, best known for having been a DJ with BBC Radio 1, and television host for music chart series Top of the Pops, children's programme Saturday Superstore and music panel game Pop Quiz. He is also a prolific author, having written over 50 books, including his autobiography, Seize the Day. Mike Read currently hosts The Heritage Chart Show on various radio stations including Enjoy Radio and Talking Pictures TV. He also co-hosts The Footage Detectives with Talking Pictures TV founder Noel Cronin.
Peter Antony
Ex 208 DJ Peter Antony has jumped at the chance of coming to the Radio Reunion. These days Peter can be heard on Radio Caroline and has his own syndicated radio show ‘Q Burn’ which plays across the planet.
In 1984, after working for several landbased pirates in London, Peter got an audition at BBC Radio One. But despite being shortlisted he was pipped at the post by a Radio Luxembourg DJ who got the job due to his national profile. Ironically Peter was then signed up by Radio Luxembourg in April 1985, where he happily stayed until November 1991. As Peter recalls "For me getting Radio Luxembourg 208 was fantastic, and it was surreal to be suddenly working alongside broadcasters that I had listened to all my life... like Bob Stewart and Stuart Henry. All the jocks that I admired the most came from Luxembourg, and before they were at Luxembourg they were at Radio Caroline!" Relocating to Los Angeles he began writing and Dj'ed at Stringfellow's Beverley Hills for the next three years. Returning to the UK Peter also worked at WISH FM Wigan and Mercury FM Crawley. Peter joined Radio Caroline in April 2008. He enthuses "Caroline's music policy is simply how music radio should be! No research needed. No patronising tight rotation of the same old hackneyed hits.. just guys running a radio station who know what they are doing, know why they are doing it, and know what great music is. You're broadcasting to adults. People who know a lot, and expect a lot... They bought albums not just singles... There has been a lot of music made... and therefore a lot of music needs to be played... It's a duty a music station owes to its public!, and now has his shows here on Enjoy Radio.
Al Smart
I’m a retired BT Manager and Road Safety presenter (think speed awareness courses!) who lives in North West Leicestershire. Married, we shared our home, until recently, with our adopted black and white cat. (Yes, he very graciously adopted us). How did I get
involved with radio presenting, well, read on……. After a lifelong interest in radio broadcasting, especially those based on ships and abandoned wartime forts (Big L, RNI, Laser 558), I started as a volunteer with Carillon Radio (a hospital radio station) in 2007. I started recording programmes from home a year or so later and have carried on ever since.
I left Carillon Radio after a couple of years and ventured into the big wide world of internet radio. My main signature programme back then was “Easy Sunday”, and it continues
through to today.
My programme is Easy Sunday. A wide variety of music from the 1950’s to the present day, from rock to country, from pop to light classics. Features include celebrity birthdays, number ones, timeline, duets etc. I do hope you like it.
Rob Charles
I am a music lover and enthusiast, living in Little Rock, Arkansas. I got started in radio at the ripe ole age of 15. I stayed on Am & FM radio for around 8 years. I had to get a real job and stayed out of radio for over 20 years. I never loss the fever for being on air, so I returned to radio on internet radio in 2015. I am once again returning to it, cause I just can’t shake It.

On Elastic Glam, I play 1970tys Glam Rock, Junk Shop Glam, and some Power Pop, along with 2020tys Neo-Glam, Glitter Punk, and Theatrical Rock. I try to keep it a fun and Rock'n show!! Thanks for listening!
Mark Flanagan
I first started in radio way back in January 1990 at my local station 2BCR (later renamed to B-FM, and now known as Connect FM 100.9) at Bankstown. At the time I hosted a weekly music program on Tuesday nights covering music from the 50’s to the 80’s. Around 1993 I changed the format to a purely R&B-based program called “The R&B Experience”. Also at this time I joined our Saturday morning sports program Sports AM covering basketball & baseball.
During mid-1996 I decided to move stations and presented a music show on 2SSR Sutherland. It was also a various music format and ran until October 1998 when I shifted to 2GLF Liverpool to do Sunday breakfast. It was also in this time that I had a short stint on commercial station 2CA Canberra. The 2CA show did not last long and I was back at 2GLF until the end of 2000.
I took 2001 off to live & work in London with my wife before returning home, restarting my Sunday breakfast show at 2GLF. This last until mid-2005 when I picked up a casual show on Campbelltown’s commercial station C91.3. I was there for 2 years before I lost my shift and found myself (again) back at 2GLF, this time as a duo on Sunday nights for a music program called “Retro Rock Live”.
We stayed at 2GLF until May 2019 when we moved on to Campbelltown’s local station 2MCR. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances the team had to go their separate ways in July 2020.
Feeling the need to get back into solo shows I have now restarted The R&B Experience at my very first station. I am very excited on 2 counts : playing real rhythm & blues music from Australia & around the world, and also being on my own for the first time in 13 years.
The R&B Experience is broadcast from Australia every Tuesday evening from 5pm UK time and goes for 3 hours. Check your clocks for local times….
And I am always happy for people to email me with music suggestions, comments, queries and the like at rnbexperienceradio@gmail.com or find my Facebook page “The R&B Experience Radio Show” and feel free to leave your comments.
Karen Rollason
Hi – I’m Karen and I just love music. I believe music is a great leveler. We don’t have to speak the same language, originate from the same place, be the same age or believe in the same things – music will cut across many differences and become the common denominator that unites us.
My late father introduced me to music and its thanks to his influence that my taste in music, spans a number of generations, from 1950 up to the present day.
Life has taken me from Cumbria, to Germany and I’ve recently returned back to Cumbria after 23 years of living in Kent.
In that time I have studied with the Open University, gaining a First-Class Honours Degree, in Humanities with Creative Writing Specialism. I was the chair of a Writing Circle in Kent where I ran workshops. I love to inspire people to write and continue to do that today in the workshops I facilitate - writing both creatively or therapeutically. I have been published in a number of anthologies and have a novel awaiting its synopsis. I have won a lot of competitions with my writing too. I love to write Flash Fiction and poetry and I am currently researching for the non-fiction book I am writing.
I am also a qualified Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and an avid genealogist. I’ve been researching my own family history for over 30 years and also the trees of others. I am thrilled to say I’ve had great success in this and I never fail to get a real buzz from reuniting people with their family, both known and unknown – dead or alive. DNA is making such a difference in achieving this. I have to say Genealogy is not a tidy pastime. I must have used a forest of paper in this endeavour and I won’t destroy any of it. In fact, I’ve told my sons if they dare to destroy my research, after my day – I will haunt them.
As well as having two sons I have two daughters in law and 4 wonderful grandchildren.
Hang on – do I have time to present a radio show?
So, who will my show, Rhythm and Roots, suit? Well, I hope it will interest you all and I look forward to hosting it for you, on Enjoy Radio.

About Enjoy Radio
Welcome to Enjoy Radio. We are all volunteers from different communities around the world who enjoy playing a wide range of different styles of music.
Enjoy Radio first started broadcasting on 1st July 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim was to help different communities from around the UK come together through the medium of music.
The station has gone from strength to strength since we started, and we have now secured a number of sponsors for the station who are helping us to keep broadcasting to our many listeners.
In 2020, we also became ambassadors for Purple Angels. The Purple Angel was born on 12th January 2012. It was formed as a steering group to try and make Torbay the first Dementia Friendly resort in the country. Norman McNamara a resident of Torbay, Devon, UK was diagnosed with dementia at only 50 years of age. Whilst out shopping one day he was rudely spoken to by a shopkeeper and decided to change the way people see dementia and treat others.
